Perfect for armchair adventurers and extreme sports buffs alike, Man vs. Wild season dvd boxset is destined to become a classic in adventure literature.

MacGyver Seasons

Angus Macgyver season dvd boxset  is a secret agent with a difference. He is quiet mild mannered deeply principled and refuses to carry a gun on his missions. Fortunately the last detail is unimportant when compared to his astounding mind. Drawing on a vast practical knowledge of science Macgyver Season 1-6 DVD is able to make use of any mundane materials around him to create unorthodox solutions to any problem he faces. The enemies of world peace and justice continually learn that underestimating this man is a fatal mistake for their plans
That’s really it. Over the last few years at conventions, I’ve not been backwards about coming forwards on my love for the TV series. I own the T shirt. I own the seven seasons on DVD. I even have, hanging under my calendar, the ‘Phoenix Foundation ID’ of MacGyver season dvd boxset , made a few years ago when I went as the mullet-haired icon to a fancy dress party. And, at these conventions, when I’ve been asked who I’d love to write for? MacGyver was always the answer. If Doctor Who was my #1 all time dream job? Then MacGyver was running a very close #2.
Fast forward to May 2011. I’m at the MCM Expo, a comic / movies / anime convention in London, and late on the Saturday night I’m in the bar with a few people including Becky Cloonan. I mention in passing that I would write a MacGyver book for free if the opportunity arose. To my surprise, Becky chimed in with ‘And I would draw it!’
Of course, we never thought anything would come of it, but nevertheless, I contacted Stephanie Johnston, my LA manager and asked if she knew who had the rights. And, as I’ve always known, she’s damned good, because within a couple of days she came back with ‘it’s Lee Zlotoff, I’ve spoken to him and he’s happy to talk to you next Wednesday about this.’ In shock, I checked with Becky if she was still on board. She was. So, that Wednesday I spoke to Lee, who turned out to be nothing like I imagined from stories of ‘Hollywood writers’ that you hear – in fact he was easygoing, enthusiastic and very open to suggestions. By the end of the discussion, not only had he agreed that we could write a MacGyver comic without paying him any money for the privilage, but he would actually come on board, with John Potter, the original ‘MacGyverisms’ creator

Lost Season

In Lost Season 5 DVD  After a mysterious and bloody airplane crash 48 survivors are left stranded on a PacificIsland... miles off course. It soon becomes apparent that they will not have to cope only with the forces of nature but with the island's secrets including the Dharma Initiative the ' Lost Numbers' the "others" (or hostiles) and the strange black smoke- to name a few. There is also much more than meets the eye as it becomes apparent that everyone is connected in some way and that everyone has a purpose to live on the island... and for some to die
On the island, following the events of the previous episode, "The Little Prince", the latest time jump which has brought the survivors to 1988, Jin-Soo Kwon (Daniel Dae Kim) and Danielle Rousseau's (Melissa Farman) science team go in search of a radio tower that is broadcasting the Numbers. They are attacked by the smoke monster, which kills Nadine and drags Montand (Marc Menard) into a tunnel that leads to a temple, severing his arm in the process. Robert Rousseau (Guillaume Dabinpons), Brennan (Bruno Bruni Jr.) and Lacombe follow him into the tunnel and another time jump brings Jin forward two months in time. He first encounters the recently killed bodies of Brennan and Lacombe. He then witnesses Danielle confronting her lover Robert because she believes that the rest of the team became infected while inside the temple. Each of them has a gun pointed at the other. Robert convinces her that they should lower their weapons, then raises his and pulls the trigger. The gun does not fire, as Danielle had removed the firing pin from it (revealed in Solitary). She shoots him. Danielle also attempts to kill Jin, but another time shift occurs and Jin is reunited with the other survivors: James "Sawyer" Ford (Josh Holloway), John Locke (Terry O'Quinn), Juliet Burke (Elizabeth Mitchell), Miles Straume (Ken Leung), Charlotte Lewis (Rebecca Mader) and Daniel Faraday (Jeremy Davies).
In late 2007, Sun-Hwa Kwon (Yunjin Kim) confronts Benjamin Linus (Michael Emerson) during his meeting with Kate Austen (Evangeline Lilly), Jack Shephard (Matthew Fox) and Sayid Jarrah (Naveen Andrews). She intends to kill him; however, he reveals to her that Jin is still alive on the island. She reluctantly agrees to go with him and Jack to another location, where he can substantiate his claims. They go to a church, where Ben shows her Jin's wedding ring, which Ben took from Locke as proof that Jin is alive. Desmond Hume (Henry Ian Cusick) arrives at the church, in his search for the mother of Daniel Faraday, Eloise Hawking (Fionnula Flanagan). The four go inside the church, where Eloise is disappointed that Ben did not bring the rest of the Oceanic Six.
The new season of "Misfits" has delivered nearly everything it promised. The "funny guy" character has been replaced rather seamlessly, and the storylines for the individual Lost Season dvd boxset  continue to be well written. Continuity remains something of an issue, but previews for the rest of the season imply that this season is poised to wrap up unexplained events of the previous seasons nicely.

Are We There Yet Seasons

Are We There Yet  DVD Are We There Yet? is an American television sitcom which premiered on TBS on June 2 2010. Based on the 2005 feature film of the same name it revolves around a family adjusting to the new addition of the matriarch's new husband and trying to deal with normal family situations. Ice Cube Ali LeRoi Matt Alvarez Vince Totino and Joe Roth serve as the show's executive producers.

The 2005 movie Are We There Yet? is a family-oriented comedy about man who tries to woe a single mother. It was not well received by film reviewers, but still did quite well in theaters. In fact, a sequel Are We Done Yet? is coming to theaters soon, which is partly why this movie being re-released on DVD. The movie was originally released on DVD in mid-2005 (read the review by Aaron Beierle. This release is a shameless promotion that coincides with the sequel's theatrical debut, which is in April 2007.
Are We There Yet season dvd boxset ? stars bad-ass rapper Ice Cube in a slapstick role that sometimes works, but more often than not doesn't. Ice Cube is Nick Persons, a man who loves the ladies. His life changes when he meets beautiful Suzanne Kingston (Nia Long), who works across the street. It is love at first sight. One day, Suzanne asks Nick for a big favor, which he agrees to in hope of winning her over. She wants him to pick up her kids Lindsey and Kevin, and take them to Vancouver. She is going there to setup a party for New Year's Eve. Reluctantly, he agrees to take them. The kids are resistance and give Nick all kinds of trouble. They don't like their mom dating guys and hope their dad will come back into the picture. Too bad for Nick. The simple journey of getting on a plane and making a short trip from Portland, Oregon to Vancouver, Canada turns into an awful mess. Nick ends up doing the Planes, Trains, and Automobiles gambit.

Barbie Complete Series

Barbie dvd is a fashion doll manufactured by the American toy-company Mattel Inc. and launched in March 1959. American businesswoman Ruth Handler (1916-2002) is credited with the creation of the doll using a German doll called Bild Lilli as her inspiration.
Barbie has been an important part of the toy fashion doll market for fifty years and has been the subject of numerous controversies and lawsuits often involving parody of the doll and her lifestyle. In recent years Barbie has faced increasing competition from the Bratz range of dolls.
Now I've reviewed quite a few these straight-to-DVD Barbie? movies, and Barbie?: Princess Charm School is an adequate addition to the line. As I wrote in another review, I don't like to go too deep into these as I would with a regular movie...because who the hell is expecting an in-depth analysis of Barbie?: Princess Charm School? As I watched this one with my 9 and 5-year-old daughters, pretty much the same questions came up from previous viewings. My youngest didn't understand that Blair was Barbie?, a reasonable confusion that frankly I never understand with these movies, either. In the two previous outings, Barbie? was an actress, so it makes sense, her playing the part of another girl. Is she playing a part here, too, or is Blair a new character, or...oh, who cares: Blair, Barbie?, whatever. A couple of times my 9-year-old asked where Gardenia was, and why the movie didn't show the kingdom, or who ruled it, or where all those princesses were coming from, or where they went once they graduated (are their principalities of Gardenia?), and quite frankly, I didn't have an answer for her on any of that (I suppose we could have discussed the story's weird inequalities and how they're strangely resolved...but who wants to discuss gender and socio-economic politics with a five-year-old?). Barbie season dvd boxset ?: Princess Charm School is a little light on logic when it comes to its paper-thin retelling of the Anastasia story, with a little Cinderella thrown in for familiarity.

Daria The Complete Animated

Daria dvd centered on a smart overtly sardonic and extremely pessimistic upper-middle-class teenage girl Daria Morgendorffer dealing with day-to-day life in her suburban American town Lawndale. In a 2005 interview series co-creator Glenn Eichler described the otherwise unspecified locale as "a mid-Atlantic suburb outside somewhere like Baltimore. They could have lived in Pennsylvania near the Main Line though."
Daria. In the late 1990s, one incurable cynic who always told it like it was, stepped forward. For animation enthusiasts who clearly recall the teen's monotonous vocal pattern and unrelenting contempt for idiocy, the MTV animation Daria was a genuine little capsule of the high school years, indeed "the best years of our lives." Daria was written with a critical edge whose sole purpose was to censure intellectual malfeasance; the cartoon, as a result, earned high praise for coalescing all the angst, cynicism, and flight-of-mind of gen-X and gen-Y into one little padded room. Now, finally, MTV/Paramount are releasing the entire series onto home video.
Daria, the girl, doesn't like people. Actually, there are many more things that get on her nerves, but stupid people are likely at the top of her list. To this end, Daria wanders through high school the epitome of apathy, refusing to cave-in to the hypersensitive and using logic to backtalk the high-strung or self-conscious. But the girl isn't a bad apple for the sake of being so; Daria was clearly the most well-read and well-informed kid in her school. Her dry, abrupt, dark humor is uncanny and rubs a lot of people the wrong way.... but when one's ambitions are sucked dry by much of the real world's plastic, whitewashed, upper-classness, there are so few options left available.
Daria: The Complete Animated Series will be available May 11, 2010 ($72.99); an eight-disc DVD Set containing all five TV seasons and both seasonal specials (65 episodes). Anticipated bonus features include the original series pilot ("Sealed with a Kick"), TV spots, and a Mystik Spiral music video, among others. Delayed for countless years due to the series' extensive licensing of 90s-era-specific rock tunes common to airwaves of the time, Daria: The Complete Animated Series season dvd boxset should be worth the wait. Those close to the DVD Set's production note a number of tracks, license unrenewed, will either be replaced or included as cover tracks by more contemporary bands as an alternative.
Daria enjoyed poking fun at the underlying dysfunction of Middle America, often including a snappy artist ("Jane"), a deliberately over-achieving minority ("Jodie"), a cryptically stressed-out History teacher ("Mr. DeMartino"), and several other marvelous sycophants, in its cast. The series featured sharp writing and very memorable, if at times cliched, character dynamics. Daria is an animated comedy, but only pursued said genre by pulling back the curtain a little, hoping to display for its audience both the incorrigible and the ignorant, with a few cynical comments interspersed for good measure.

Bonanza Season

The Cartwright's thousand-square-mile Ponderosa Ranch is located near Virginia City Nevada site of the Comstock Silver Lode during and after the Civil War. Each of the sons was born to a different wife of Ben's; none of the mothers is still alive. Adventures are typical western ones with lots of personal relationships/problems thrown in as well.
Bonanza DVD is an American western television series that ran on NBC from September 12 1959 to January 16 1973. Lasting 14 seasons and 430 episodes it ranks as the second longest running western series (behind Gunsmoke)and stills continues to air in syndication.
At the risk of hampering my reputation as a so-called television historian (insert eye-roll here), I must admit that I have never watched an episode of Bonanza beginning to end. At least I don't think I have. It used to run occasionally on Sunday afternoons as filler on KXLY Spokane when I was a child and I may have sat through a full episode then... but now come to think of it... that was Gunsmoke. Nevermind.
I picked up a bargain bin DVD a few years back of Bonanza season dvd boxset as a handful of episodes are in the public domain. I was instantly jarred and disappointed when the theme song, certainly not in the public domain, had been dubbed over with some generic synthesized surf music. I shut it off, disillusioned by the whole venture.

Blind Justice Season

Canaan a mysterious gunfighter left nearly blind from Civil War combat roams through Mexico with a baby he has sworn to protect. On his way to a town where a family will supposedly adopt the baby Canaan passes through a border town where U.S. Cavalry officers assigned to deliver a shipment of silver are under attack from bandits. With some reluctance Canaan steps in to help the soldiers.
This summer will be very interesting. General Motors has a new president who says he doesn’t know anything about making cars. Barack Obama wants the government to decide how much executives should be paid. The president’s crazy-uncle pastor, Jeremiah Wright, is claiming the Jews are keeping him from meeting with the president.
Mr. Obama is proposing cuts in Medicare reimbursement, a system that already doesn’t pay its fair share, and the Democrats are trying to nationalize health care. North Korea’s Dear Leader is working overtime to develop nuclear weapons and a rocket to deliver them. Iran’s election has created violence in the streets.
Of all these, the nomination of Sonia Sotomayor to the U.S. Supreme Court deserves very careful study.
The justice system of the United States operates under the theory that the law should be viewed objectively with the determination of innocence, guilt, liability or whatever made without bias or prejudice: blind justice, symbolized by the blindfolded statue of Lady Justice. It is the idea behind the United States Supreme Court motto “Equal Justice Under Law,” which is the symbol of the judiciary.
Judge Sonia Sotomayor is President Obama’s first nominee for the United States Supreme Court. She has been on the federal Circuit Court bench for a long time, and much has been made of the fact that if confirmed she will be the first Hispanic to serve on the nation’s highest court. Administration officials and supporters say Judge Sotomayor would bring more judicial experience to the Supreme Court than any justice confirmed in the past 70 years.
However, some colleagues and law clerks who have worked with her have reservations about her, raising questions about her temperament, judicial craftsmanship, and her intellectual ability, issues which should not be ignored. But the far more serious questions arise over whether she can fairly and dispassionately apply Blind Justice Season dvd boxset .
Judge Sotomayor has said publicly and openly that factors other than legal ones should enter into the judicial process, indicating that she will remove the blindfold from Lady Justice and substitute her own personal biased views for the neutral consideration of the law. Blind Justice dvd is not acceptable.

Bleach season dvd boxset  is a Japanese sh??nen manga series written and illustrated by Noriaki "Tite" Kubo.
The episodes of Bleach anime series are based on the manga of the same name written by Tite Kubo. They are directed by Noriyuki Abe and produced by TV Tokyo, Dentsu, and Studio Pierrot. The plot of the episodes follows the adventures of a teenager named Ichigo Kurosaki who can see ghosts and becomes a Soul Reaper after assuming the duties of Soul Reaper Rukia Kuchiki.
The episodes have aired since October 6, 2004, on TV Tokyo in Japan. Viz Media obtained the foreign television, home video, and merchandising rights to the Bleach anime from TV Tokyo Corporation and Shueisha on March 15, 2006.Subsequently, Viz Media contracted Studiopolis to create the English adaptation of the anime, and has licensed its individual Bleach merchandising rights to several different companies.[2] The English adaptation of the Bleach anime premiered on Canada's YTV channel in the Bionix programming block on September 8, 2006. Cartoon Network began airing Bleach the following evening as part of its Adult Swim block. Adult Swim stopped broadcasting new episodes of the English adaptation on October 20, 2007, after airing the first 52 episodes of the series. It was replaced with another Viz Media series, Death Note, to provide Studiopolis more time to dub additional episodes of the series. The series returned from hiatus on March 2, 2008 (with two new episodes airing every night beginning with the Arrancar arc, as well as the first two movies), and had returned to hiatus for almost a year after airing episode 167 on November 21, 2009. The hiatus ended on August 28, 2010, with the airing of episode 168.
Forty-four pieces of theme music are used for the episodes: fifteen opening themes and twenty-nine closing themes. Several CDs that contain the theme music and other tracks have been released by Studio Pierrot.[3] As of October 27, 2010, 61 DVD compilations have been released by Aniplex in Japan. 32 DVD compilations of the English adaptation of the anime have been released by Viz Media, and five season boxsets have been released that contain the first five seasons of the anime.

The Incredible Hulk Seasons

The Hulk is a fictional character appearing in comic books published by Marvel Comics. Created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby the character first appeared in The Incredible Hulk dvd  (May 1962). In 2008 the hobbyist magazine Wizard named the Hulk the seventh-greatest Marvel Comics character. Empire Magazine named him the fourteenth greatest comic book character overall and the fifth highest ranked in the Marvel stable.
There are numerous reasons why fill-in or additional artists are often necessary -- a late script, late artwork, an illness, a production crisis, a fired/quit/reassigned creator, and many, many more reasons than most readers can imagine. Marvel didn't comment on The Incredible Hulk season dvd boxset  situation when asked about it by Comic Book Resources, but while it would probably sate some curiosity to know what happened, the cause is not nearly as interesting to me as the genuinely bold solution.
Momentum is critical in maintaining the high level of reader and retailer engagement with this title, whose first issue sold more than 100,000 copies, making it Marvel's highest selling title in October. It seems obvious that momentum was threatened in some way and Marvel took startlingly aggressive action. Presumably the book will go on sale next week as scheduled and avoid the "late book" stigma that plagues too many high profile titles in superhero comics (particularly those, it has to be said, that involve the beloved Image founders) and keep everybody happy until the next issue. Not an ideal situation, obviously, but that's one mission accomplished.
Another mission is satisfying the reader. A Marvel icon of the 1990s, the co-founder of Image Comics and the CEO of Top Cow Productions, Silvestri is definitely a fan-favorite. Populating a Silvestri book with five additional pencillers, you'd reasonably expect an anarchic, bloody patchwork of a comic. But in reality, Incredible Hulk #2 is anything but. (As pointed out by Bleeding Cool, an apparent comiXology glitch made the issue available for sale for a short time this week, before it was meant to go on sale, and we grabbed a copy.) Series editor Mark Paniccia was wise to staff this singular issue with the likes of Billy Tan, Michael Broussard and Eric Basaldua, as they're all alumni of Silvestri's Top Cow studio and proficient in and influenced by his signature style. Fellow Image co-founder Whilce Portacio also shares some stylistic traits with the top-billed artist, and together with Scott Hanna and a small army of inkers, these gentlemen created what in my view is an almost seamless collaboration. The Incredible Hulk #2 looks and reads like a Marc Silvestri comic.

They go to a church, where Ben Lost season dvd boxset shows her Jin's wedding ring, which Ben took from Locke as proof that Jin is alive.

While her episode of PoI is currently unscheduled, we know thanks to TVLine will be playing Wendy, “a charming/funny/sexy/sassy hairstylist from Brooklyn who learns that one should always look a gift horse in the mouth.” If you’re familiar with the idiom “don’t look a gift horse in the mouth” then you’ll know it means to never be ungrateful for a gift. Wendy seems to be learning the opposite lesson. Perhaps that implies she will receive a less than helpful present. Right now I’m picturing a bomb in a box, or something equally as dangerous. It’s not for certain that she will be the one on Finch’s list, but it seems likely someone could be out to get her. Let’s just cross our fingers and hope they manage to make Wendy at least a tad interesting, unlike some of the guest stars the Legend of the Seeker season DVD boxset has had so far.
Regan has a couple upcoming gigs for TNT. The first one is the TNT telepic, Hide, starring Carla Gugino. It is based on the book written by Lisa Gardner. The other is a recurring role on TNT’s Peception, starring Eric McCormack and Rachel Leigh Cook.

Kyle XY Season

A Seattle family takes in an amnesiac teen (Dallas) whom they eventually learn has mysterious powers and psychic abilities the result of a secret human cloning experiment conducted years earlier. The family helps teach Kyle human behaviors such as anger joy and love and guards him against forces who seek to use Kyle for their own nefarious purposes.
Last season Kyle became aware of his real power: he not only cured Josh Trager's girlfriend from her cancer but he also resurrected Jessi! Is there any limit to what this lab genius can do?
Well, Kyle is not alone to be conscious of his incredible abilities: Latnok, a mysterious organization whose members wear a silver ring with a blue-purple gem, is well aware of Kyle's powers as they were spying him since his escape from the lab.
The apex of the last season was the kidnapping of Amanda, Kyle's girlfriend. Who have done this? For what purpose?
We may think it's Latnok, but can't be sure: more than once the writers behind Kyle XY have surprised us...
So as usual we have new questions and are still tormented by some old mysteries left unanswered: damned this hiatus till Kyle XY season 3 is a hard time for the fans!
Kyle XY Season dvd :
The filming of the season 3 has been kind of late due to the last writer strike in Hollywood. But fortunately the strike is now over.
But both Matt Dallas (Kyle XY season dvd boxset ) and Jean-Luc Bilodeau (Josh trager) have since confirmed that the season 3 is now under production.
No official date has been set yet for the premiere of Kyle XY season 3. But we may fairly bet that Kyle XY season 3 premiere will be in October 2008.

Sanctuary Season

Stem cells gene therapy transplants cloning; The very meaning of the word "humanity" changes daily in the modern world. But there is a darker side to the evolution of mankind a truth only a few brave souls are willing to face: There are monsters loose in the world. And they are the key to the future of our race.
At the end of season 3 of Sanctuary dvd we were left with two pretty big cliffhangers. Thousands of Abnormals were pouring out onto the surface from a destroyed Hollow Earth, while Helen Magnus was pulled back in time with Adam Worth, who is determined to change time by saving his daughter. What happens next? Well, the fourth season premiere tackles one of those as we pick up with Magnus’ arrival back in the past in pursuit of Worth. Not only must Helen prevent Worth from altering the timeline, she must take great care not to do so herself, especially once she’s arrested and bailed out by John Watson. Along the way, we get more details regarding one Mr. John Druitt and his role as Jack the Ripper. There’s a little revelation that came as a great surprise to me. Oh, and get ready for an ending that will leave your jaw lying on the floor long after the end credits roll. Let’s just say the way back to the present is not an easy road to travel for Helen.
The acting is superb in this episode. Amanda Tapping does a tremendous job as Helen Magnus, this time playing two different versions of her character. Peter Wingfield is always a joy to see and he plays Watson very elegantly here, especially considering the magnitude of the information he discovers. Chris Heyerdahl gets a few choice scenes that showcase Druitt exceptionally and there is a revelation that I really don’t know what to do with, but look forward to seeing what it means for him. Lastly, there is the energetic performance by Ian Tracey, who gets to play two Adam Worths, one distraught and at the end of his rope and one with renewed optimism. The sharp script by series creator Damian Kindler along with Martin Wood’s wonderfully atmospheric direction and the aforementioned acting make this the best episode of the Sanctuary season dvd boxset  series so far. At least until next week

Rubicon Season

Rubicon dvd is an American television series created by Jason Horwitch and produced by Henry Bromell. It centers around an intelligence analyst at a national think tank in New York City called the API who discovers that he may be working with members of a secret society that manipulates world events on a grand scale. These episodes are written and directed by some of the top talent on the east and west coasts. The potential plot directions are very exciting.
AMC’s newest attempt at a television masterpiece is called “Rubicon.” Though it’s not set to premiere until August 1, the pilot episode aired after this year’s season finale of “Breaking Bad,” and it did not disappoint.
Pacing has always been a strength of both of AMC’s already critically acclaimed dramas “Mad Men” and “Breaking Bad,” and it looks to be one of “Rubicon season dvd boxset ”’s as well. Like all good mystery and conspiracy thrillers, the action is hardly imminent, with a lot of room between.
What also makes “Rubicon” more intriguing and sets it apart from its two siblings is its less reality-based concept. However implausible, the other series remain possible and grounded. This, on the other hand, has more potential for the grandiose and spectacular.
All signs point to another successful drama for the station, which would make it three-for-three now in original programming. If the series can continue to match its intensity and meticulously elaborate on some very interesting relationships, it will have strong characters and an incredible story to follow.

Roswell Season

Living among the citizens of the infamous New Mexico city of Rosewell are four who are not there by choice. They are there to follow a destiny given to them by the members of their dying race a race that they are someday destined to save. This is the background behind the WB series "Rosewell dvd". Max Evans Isabel Evans Michael Guerin and Tess Harding are teenage humans with extraordinary gifts - gifts that are "not-of-this-earth". They are human/alien hybrids sent here as replacements for the royalty of an alien race. Their counterparts have already perished in a war of attrition thus one day the "royal four" will return to their home planet and save their race. Before a fateful day in 1999 the teens hid their gifts. The event that forever changed their lives was when Max healed Liz Parker (a classmate) after she was fatally shot in the stomach in a dispute between two customers at the restaurant where she waitresses. A close relationship then developed between Max and Liz. It was later mirrored by a relationship between Liz's best friend Maria Deluca and Michael.
My friends call me a snob, saying that I trash movies I dislike until I am blue in the face while engaging in heated debate with someone who does not share my opinion on a film I treasure. I do not find myself to be that kind of snob; I am, however, a confessed television snob. I watch the same programs each and every week, and rarely do I try anything new unless I am prodded by my girlfriend or I happen to hear rave reviews. The downside of this is that I sometimes miss programs that are deserving of some level of applause, case in point the teen drama Roswell, a series that I once disregarded as Saved By the Bell crossed with Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and yes, I was wrong.
Set in Roswell season dvd boxset , New Mexico, the series begins in a diner called The Crashdown Cafe where Liz (Appleby) works on a bright afternoon. Two men begin to argue, which eventually spills over into a fight where a gun is drawn and Liz is hit in the stomach by a stray bullet. For all intents and purposes Liz is dead, until Max (Behr) approaches and heals her simply by placing his hand upon her wound, making it disappear completely. It immediately becomes evident that Max is not as he seems, and neither are his friends Isabel (Heigl) and Michael (Fehr).
And that is the general sentiment I have toward Roswell after viewing the first season: It does just enough to coast by when it should be doing something, anything, to separate itself from the pack.

Rookie Blue Season

The second season of the Canadian police drama Rookie Blue starring Missy Peregrym and Gregory Smith began airing on 23 June 2011 on Global in Canada.
Rookie blue dvd centers on the lives of five rookie cops who have just graduated from the Academy. It has been described as Grey's Anatomy in the world of rookie cops.Rookie blue is exactly what you think it is: a cop show. It's got action drama and even has it's comedic moments. It has a variety of characters the main ones being the five rookies and chronicles the goings-on in and around the team.
Rookie Blue season dvd boxset , a filmed-in-Toronto police drama following newly minted cops, is set to move on to a sophomore season.
The show, which debuted on Global and ABC as a summer series in late June, will return for a second season, the two networks have announced.
The show, which was originally known as Copper, was co-created by Tassie Cameron, the screenwriter and producer who helped develop Flashpoint, the successful Toronto-set police drama.
Rookie Blue tells the stories of five recent police academy graduates starting their careers patrolling the streets, with young Canadian actors starring as the inexperienced quintet of officers.
The show has drawn mixed reviews from critics and has been described as (both favourable and unfavourably) medical drama Grey's Anatomy, but set in a police station.

Hollywood Treasure Season

She was a teenage charmer opposite Gene Kelly in "Singin' in the Rain," earned an Oscar nomination for her gutsy character in "The Unsinkable Molly Brown" and, at 79, is going strong as a nightclub and theater performer.
On Saturday, Reynolds will demonstrate her flair with an auction of Hollywood Treasure dvd memorabilia she's gathered over four decades and which includes costumes evoking some of filmdom's greatest stars and roles.
Among them: The Marilyn Monroe dress that flirted with a subway gust in "The Seven Year Itch," Audrey Hepburn's stunning black-and-white Ascot race scene gown designed by Cecil Beaton for "My Fair Lady," and Elizabeth Taylor's pint-sized race togs from "National Velvet" and towering headdress from "Cleopatra."
"I consider myself a fan. I'm a fan who was lucky enough to be among stars, so I collected them," Reynolds said during an auction preview at the Paley Center for Media.
"It was inspired by shock," she said, when MGM decided in 1970 to auction off its vast number of costumes and props. "I was just emotional about it."
Cringing at the thought of fabled costumes turned into Halloween party duds, Reynolds recalls raising her hand over and over at the weeks-long auction and raiding her bank accounts. More pieces came from subsequent Fox and Paramount studio sales, as well as individuals.
The auction represents the end of a dream. Reynolds' combined casino-hotel and museum in Las Vegas closed and Reynolds planned to relocate the museum to Pigeon Forge, Tenn. Last year, Reynolds' son, Todd Fisher, said the project had to file for bankruptcy protection and the  Hollywood Treasure dvd would be sold to satisfy creditors.

Hawaii Five-0 Season

In Hawaii Five-0  dvd Steve McGarrett returns home to Oahu in order to find his father's killer. The governor offers him the chance to run his own task force (Five-O). Steve's team is joined by Chin Ho Kelly Danny "Danno" Williams and Kono Kalakaua.More in Hawaii Five-0  DVD Box set
It all starts, and revolves around, the murder of two young amateur documentarians who were killed while filming from an infamous local sacred graveyard, looking for the mythic ""ghost warriors.""
The Five-0 quickly arrive at the scene, and Danny, of course, disobeys the tradition of waiting for a priest to ""bless"" them before entering the scene of the crime, at which a hand belonging to the male victim is the only sign of the murder.
After the autopsy and some research, Max discovers fingerprints on the female victim that belong to a man named Greg Straithan, but he is immediately ruled out as a suspect, because he's dead -- murdered by his criminally insane girlfriend. Apparently, that is: McGarrett and Co. wonder if this was simply the perfect opportunity for Straithan to have faked his own death. And when they go to exhume Straithan's body, after a fruitless interview with his hospitalized gilfriend, it is missing, only fanning the flames of their theory.
But Max assures them that Straithan is, in fact, dead, his severed hand found in a bag at the original scene of the crime -- which is where they return to look for the rest of the body. It is also there that piece together other clues and conclude that a homeless man (guest star Robert Englund), who warned them previously not to investigate the murder in the first place, is the killer. He is quickly apprehended nearby almost quite literally holding the proverbial ""smoking gun"" (er, machete).
Alas, though, while he seems quite mean and possibly dangerous, the homeless man is ruled out, as the blood on his weapon was matched to that of an animal he'd hunted. And furthermore, as the Five-0 crew soon discovers, they're not looking for a serial killer but rather a ""businessman who's selling cadaver parts on the black market.""
At which point they turn to a new suspect: mortuary attendant Tyler Mitchell, who, in hindsight, was mysteriously apprehensive about helping to exhume Greg Straithan's body. For good reason! The full squad races to the mortuary at which he worked, only to find him dead and realize, yet again, that they had the wrong guy. Mitchell was in cahoots with a hospital employee named Jacob Garrison, who was using the lucrative ""body-parts trade"" to pay off his extensive debt.
His moneymaking days -- and non-moneymaking days -- come to an end, however, when he gets caught by Five-0 at his own house and opts to light himself (and his house) on fire rather than surrendering.

Get Smart Season

Get Smart Season dvd boxset . Maxwell Smart. The dumbest spy in the world, who fights on behalf of the forces of goodness and niceness, and succeeded in making democracy vs. communism a lot more entertaining. With the comic trio of Don Adams, Barbara Feldon and Edward Platt, this hilarious spy spoof is still funny today.
Don Adams is Agent 86, Maxwell Smart, a not-so-bright spy with an endless arsenal of strange devices and odd sayings. The bumbling spy at a top-secret government agency called Control, which is responsible for keeping the free world free. Backing him up is his beautiful partner/love interest Agent 99 (Barbara Feldon) and his long-suffering Chief (Eward Platt) who puts up with Smart's constant mistakes.
Together with 99 (whom he marries late in the series), and the Chief (and his faithful dog Fang), Max battles the forces of badness and rottenness -- namely, the anti-Control called KAOS. They battle against their archnemesis Siegfried and a bunch of other KAOS agents, with explosive paintings, lovable robots, explosive pianos, evil hippies, and much more.
"Missed it by that much!" Maxwell Smart's catchphrases and goofy confidence made him the perfect antidote to the suave James Bond. Unlike Bond and similar movie spies, Max succeeds out of luck and bumbling more often than skill... but somehow, he still succeeds.
The comic timing is a little awkward at the very beginning, but rapidly gets its footing. What's really funny is the endless spoofery -- Max is given all sorts of weird gadgets, including the legendary "shoe-phone," and he faces off against all sorts of cartoonish villains. And it has dozens and dozens of movie spoofs -- "The Great Escape," "The Most Dangerous Game," "Maltese Falcon," "King Kong," and even the Bond movie "Goldfinger."
The political clime of the mid 1960s is all over the series, especially in the form of KAOS. But fortunately they don't get preachy -- KAOS is merely a big evil organization, no more. Some references are dated, and this definitely debuted before the era of political correctness (there's a bizarre episode about American Indians threatening the US government, and the Claw is funny if un-PC).
Don Adams MAKES this series, with his quirky facial expressions, nasal voice and odd body language. His Max overestimates his own skill and believes himself to be a sexy, karate-chopping Bondian treasure, though he survives mostly by luck ("Missed it by that much!").
Barbara Feldon is the least quirky of the cast, serving as the "straight woman" for Max, as well as the brains for his adventures. Edward Platt is just wonderful as the long-suffering, stressed-out Chief, who always looks slightly frayed, and Bernie Kopell is hysterical as the stiff-backed, volatile Siegfried.
It should be noted that right now, the entire series is only available directly from Time Life, with a big price tag (I was lucky enough to watch a relative's copy). Wait until Fall 2007, and it will be widely available at a lower price. They're also exquisitely remastered, with all that sixties colour, and they've reinserted little bits that were cut for commercials. It actually improves the flow.
It's been decades since "Get Smart dvd " was first aired, but it is still gutsplittingly funny. You'll roll around on the floor, laughing yourself sick... and... loving it.

La Femme Nikita Season

La Femme Nikita DVD a clandestine anti-terrorist organization fakes the death of a jailed convicted murderer and believing her twin assets of beauty and ability to kill will make her a valuable new operative trains her in the fighting skills necessary to succeed in her new job. The new operative code-named 'Josephine' proves to be somewhat less ruthless than planned however as she had been falsely convicted and never murdered anyone
Section One, a clandestine anti-terrorist organization, fakes the death of a jailed, convicted murderer and, believing her twin assets of beauty and ability to kill will make her a valuable new operative, trains her in the fighting skills necessary to succeed in her new job. The new operative, code-named 'Josephine', proves to be somewhat less ruthless than planned, however, as she had been falsely convicted and never murdered anyone.
It feels a little like critical laziness when I find myself heaping praise on 'Nikita' week after week, but I'm not being hyperbolic when I say that 'Clawback' may have just replaced last season's Kasim episodes as my favorite of the series to date.
The plot was densely packed and yet maintained an energetic pace that kept me guessing, and the episode was replete with important character development to drive the emotional story forward right alongside the narrative.
And as for that twist ... midway through the episode, I wanted to hurl my laptop across the room in outrage, before the eleventh-hour reveal had me thanking the capricious televisual gods for their mercy.
In some ways, I almost wish the show had followed through with killing Ryan, because that moment in the hospital was so shocking and so startlingly impactful (for me, at least), that I found myself caught off-guard and reeling in a way that TV seldom affects me anymore.
The episode also did an excellent job of expanding Alex's story at a slow burn, allowing her to grow closer to Sean in a believable way as well as giving Lyndsy Fonseca some meaty material to work with during Alex's scenes with Yuri. Fonseca brought her A-game this week, and I think she's tied with West for MVP of the episode, thanks to their vulnerable performances.
Clearly, Alex can't have a showdown with Semak this early in the La Femme Nikita DVD boxset, but writer Michael Brandon Guercio cannily allowed the show to address the hit that Gogol has placed on her, using it as an opportunity to delve deeper into Alex's childhood and her current alliances. It was interesting to see her defending Nikita and how she chose to kill Alex's father, and it also emphasized just how surreal Alex's life truly is, since I couldn't blame Yuri for being dubious about the veracity of her complicated story.
Now Amanda has Alex right where she wants her, back under lockdown at Division where she can no longer openly communicate with Nikita. Will she find Ryan, or at least a way out thanks to Sean? I'm intrigued to see where they take her from here, since for all appearances, she seems to be trapped.

King Season

King dvd is a Canadian police drama which premiered 17 April 2011 on Showcase. The series stars Amy Price-Francis as Jessica King a veteran police officer who gets promoted to head of the Major Crimes Task Force in Toronto after her predecessor has a breakdown on television.
Kings season dvd boxset is an American television drama series which aired on NBC. The series' narrative is loosely based on the Biblical story of King David, but set in a kingdom that culturally and technologically resembles the present-day United States.
Advance showings received mostly positive critical reviews. The Sunday March 15, 2009, premiere placed 4th in network television ratings for that evening. After four episodes aired, NBC moved it to a Saturday slot, but only showed one more episode before pulling the series until summer. The remaining seven episodes were aired on Saturdays in June and July; however, Kings was canceled after failing to find a sufficient audience.
Kings is set in the fictional Kingdom of Gilboa, a modern absolute monarchy. Gilboa is ruled by King Silas Benjamin, who originally formed the united kingdom two decades before from the three warring countries of Gilboa, Carmel, and Selah. He believes that he has been divinely anointed king, and often cites the day when a swarm of Monarch butterflies once landed on his head in the form of "a living crown" which called upon him to form the Monarchy and Kingdom.
In the two-part season finale, William Cross orchestrates a coup with the intention of placing Jack on the throne as his puppet. Silas is shot twice, but survives. Although Silas has framed David for treason, David helps return him to power. Reverend Samuels is killed under William's orders, but appears in posthumous visions to David, the Princess, and Silas (none of whom is aware that Samuels is dead), confirming to them that God has chosen David to be the next king. David flees to Gath on Samuels' advice, and Michelle is sent into exile to bear his child in secret. Silas declares that he is now God's enemy as dark storm clouds loom above his troubled kingdom.

Sport In-Ear Headphones From Monster

HTC to Pay $300 Million for 51% of Dr. Dre’s Headphone Maker
Aug. 11 (Bloomberg) -- HTC Corp., Asia’s second-largest handset producer by market value, agreed to buy control of a maker of headphones backed by rapper Dr. Dre for $300 million.
The Taiwanese company will acquire 51 percent of Beats Electronics LLC, HTC Chief Financial Officer Winston Yung said today. U.S.-based Beats Electronics, formed in 2006 by Dr. Dre, also known as Andre Young, and Universal Music’s Interscope Records Chairman Jimmy Iovine, makes headphones that sell for as much as $600.
The purchase paves the way for the Taiwanese smartphone maker to expand its offering of accessories as competition in the smartphone market escalates. HTC last month agreed to buy S3 Graphics Co. for $300 million to access its trove of patents as it defends against infringement lawsuits from Apple Inc.
“HTC is trying to beef up its audio and earphone products,” Richard Ko, an analyst at KGI Securities Co., said by phone from Taipei today. “This will help stop further erosion of the average selling prices” of the company’s products. Ko reiterates his “outperform” rating and a 12-month price estimate of $1,080 on the stock.
Demand for phones with touchscreens and faster fourth- generation connectivity is helping HTC generate record sales as it closes in on Nokia’s No. 3 position in the global smartphone market after Apple and South Korea’s Samsung Electronics Co. The gains have helped Taoyuan, Taiwan-based HTC amass a cash pile of NT$108.4 billion ($3.7 billion) as of June 30.

Dr.Dre Powerbeats Sport

Apple released a little bit of a firestorm today with the announcement of its newest iPod Shuffle. The headphone company has shrunk the device to a magnifying-glass-not-included 1.8 by 0.7 by 0.3 inches, but to do so, it's been forced to remove almost all control functionality from the unit's body. You now control the random (or sequential) back-and-forth progression of songs, the volume, and Shuffle's pause features via a small control box on the included earphones.
While this new variety of $30 earphones ($80 for the in-ear model) have been around since late last year, this is the first time that Apple's required them in order for a consumer to use a handheld device. That means that you can take off the rockin' cans you currently use and put them on the shelf for awhile, as third-party adapters featuring the remote control functionality aren't out yet.
But this piece -- a cable with remote control buttons and a 1/8-inch stereo input -- can't be that difficult to make. In a perfect world, Apple would have bundled an adapter cable along with the new iPod Shuffle. But this is Apple. Regardless, the lack of any kind of adapter on the launch day of its new product raises an interesting consideration: Why is Apple competing against itself?
Hear me out. What are you more likely to lose, crush, or otherwise render obsolete? Your boring ol' default iPod Shuffle earphones or the Shuffle itself? I'm going to guess the former, as I've personally gone through (or loaned out) countless numbers of earphones, in-ear speakers, and headphones depending on where I'm jamming my music combined with my tendency to lose things.

Monster PowerBeats Sport In-Ear Headphones

In an interview with Macworld, Greg Joswiak, Apple's vice president of iPod and iPhone Product Marketing, noted that third-party adapters for Apple's remote control functionality should be arriving at some point in the future. What he didn't say was whether the company plans to market its own proprietary connector. Why not?
For starters, Apple could have capitalized on the legions of "I gotta have it" first-day product purchasers -- many of whom likely already own a unique pair of headphones that they've been using for their favorite Apple devices.
Beyond that, who's Apple trying to fool with its massive lineup of two headphones? Do they honestly think that consumers, having just destroyed their remote control earphones, are going to run off to the Apple store and make $30 replacement purchases when they can just pick up a cheaper adapter cable from any number of third-party vendors? And when you consider Apple's inflated prices for its earphones, why would consumers want to pay $30 for so-so quality speakers when they can pick up better headphones/adapter combinations for an equal (or slightly higher) price?
It's no secret that Apple leans toward keeping its accessories in-house and device-specific (mini-DVI, anyone?). That makes it even more baffling as to why Apple would surrender such a large cash cow with iPod Shuffle headphone adapters. If it's not going to make them exclusive to the Apple store, the least the company could do would be to offer its own product as well--especially in the critical time period between the iPod Shuffle's launch and the release of the first third-party adapters. Isn't the concept of supplying demand Business 101?
What about you? Would you have purchased an iPod Shuffle adapter today, or is the proprietary remote control mechanism keeping you from pulling the trigger on this newest MP3 player?

Vivienne Tam Headphones

That’s about to change, though. Wicked Audio recently announced it would be introducing its latest headphone offering at CES 2012 this year. Priced at $100, the Solus headphones are a closed-back, full-size headphone that, according to the company, are its best sounding pair yet.
This is interesting news as it would seem Wicked Audio is taking direct aim at the Beats br Dr. Dre line with the Solus. It’s clear they are intended for DJs, they appear to be oriented around big bass performance and we’ve even heard that Wicked plans a side-by-side Beats/Solus shootout on the CES 2012 show floor.
We plan to pay Wicked Audio a visit to see how the Solus feel and sound. If at $100 they are anything like the Sol Republic “Tracks”, they could end up swooping some would-be Beats fans.
Daily Desired: Audiophile Headphones You Can Actually Afford
The new HiFiMan HE-400 headphones are equipped with some of the best sound technology out there, and this $350 pre-order makes them on of the sweetest deals in audio gear.
These HiFiMan cans are the least expensive planar magnetic headphones we've ever seen. Planar magnetic drivers aren't new tech, but they aren't widely used despite their excellent sound. (Here's a good explainer on the details of how they work.) Most headphones use dynamic drivers, which are cheaper and easier to produce. Planar magnetic drivers use a very thin, lightweight diaphragm that's surrounded by strong magnets. Compared to dynamic drivers these headphones use more force and more surface area produce sound. The result is a very responsive headphone that's more accurate, with better low-end response and less distortion than your average dynamic driver.

Purple Headphones On-ear

For those looking to channel their inner Princess Leia, headphone covers with the Star Wars icon’s signature side buns are now available on Etsy in shades of blonde, brown and red.
The “Galactic Princess Headphone Covers” – priced at $24 before shipping — are made of synthetic hair and come with two 6-inch diameter buns with mesh backing.
The buns can be glued or temporarily attached to your headphones, and can also be pinned directly to your hair.
“These pieces will transform your headphones or ear muffs into Princess Leia’s famed cinnamon bun hair,” says the Etsy site. “Your friends will love you more, your coworkers will be jealy, and if you wear these to Comic-Con you will get laid instantly.”
Headphone covers for blonde and red hair are made to order.
If you haven’t heard of Wicked Audio and their headphones, that’s okay…neither had we. It’s understandable considering  there are probably more headphone brands than there are brands of beer. If you hadn’t noticed, everyone is making headphones now. At this point we’re just waiting for McDonald’s to start dropping the “McGrooves” on kids in their happy meals.
However it’s a good bet that, despite the over-saturated state of the headphone market,  you’d remember Wicked Audio’s headphones if you’d seen them. Their style is not entirely unique (imagine if Skullcandy and V-Moda hooked up and had a headphone love-child) but certainly memorable. You can find them at Amazon, Walmart, and a handful of other big retailers.
To give them credit, Wicked Audio, under the company Empire Brands, has been in the headphone business longer than most  Johnny-come-lately’s and they have a huge selection ranging from tiny earbuds to full-size circum-aural (around the ear) cans. What’s super surprising, though, is that the company’s most expensive item, currently the Reverb headphones, tops out at around $30 retail.

While the X12 doesn’t offer surround sound via multiple drivers, an outboard processor can be added to simulate surround. I’m sure that would be fun to play with, but I honestly didn’t miss the fake surround. The stereo headphones do well to create a virtual surround effect. I had no problems distinguishing footsteps that came from in front or behind me. It was also easy to sense how close or distant footfall, gunfire, explosions and other effects were. Though I generally play on a full 7.1-surround system, the stereo X12 did a fine job of giving me a sense of my place in the game via audio queues.
Finally, I took the X12 over to my music listening rig (the one I use for testing $100 to $1,400 audio headphones) and gave them a pretty critical listen. Look, I realize few are likely to use these as music listening headphones… it’s just impractical. Still, if a headphone can reproduce music well, it is going to sound great for long-term use in even the most active, explosive gaming scenarios.
I was seriously impressed at how even, open and articulate the X12 sounded for music. I’ve tested headphones that cost two to four times as much that don’t sound as good. While I wouldn’t necessarily say they are of audiophile quality, they are certainly well above the curve for a $50 to $100 headphone and, to be sure, something I can be proud to give my son.
To be honest, I had already ordered up a pair of X12 as a Christmas gift, figuring that if they were terrible, I’d send them back. That isn’t going to happen. I’m thrilled with the X12’s performance and very pleased with my purchase.
Conclusion
The Turtle Beach X12 gaming headphones are versatile, well constructed and, for the most part, well designed. The mic monitor and bass boost features are a nice touch and their high degree of comfort allows for long-term wear with little to no fatigue. The biggest surprise was just how great they sounded. It’s hard to imagine wanting much more from a gaming headset, especially at such a reasonable price.

To connect the headset to my Xbox 360, I attached the left and right analog audio cables from my Xbox’s component break-out cable to the female connections on the provided splitter cable. Since I run an optical digital cable to my A/V receiver, that’s all I had to do, but had I been running those analog audio cables to my TV or receiver, I would have simply plugged the male ends of the splitter cable into either component. I should note here that those using the Xbox’s HDMI connection will need to get the Xbox break-out cable that provides an analog audio connection when using HDMI. It’s either that, or you must tap a stereo monitor output off of either a TV or A/V receiver. It may sound confusing, but it really isn’t. It took just one minute to get the headset up and running. Turtle Beach has a video showing how to connect the headset at its website in case you get stuck.
I was tremendously impressed with the Turtle Beach Ear Force x12. Apparently, this model is based off of the already popular X11 with just a few modifications added in, one of which is a mic monitor feature. Mic monitor allows you to hear yourself as you speak into the mic. With most closed-back headphones, you can’t hear yourself talking and end up inadvertently shouting when you talk. The mic monitor handily eliminates that side-effect.
The other notable upgrade over the X11 is the use of larger 50mm drivers. They’re 10mm larger than the previous model and larger than many full-sized headphones. We’re not sure if the larger size was responsible for the X12’s bass prowess or not, but to be sure, they are capable of plenty of bass.
I wore these headphones for two hours at a time only removing them for a matter of seconds on occasion. At no time did I feel any significant fatigue around the ears or on the crown of our head. Though I can feel some joints hiding under the headband, I never felt that on my head. The X12 get an A for comfort.
Voice intelligibility was excellent. I had no problem dialing in the incoming voice volume from friends in my chat room and my voice came across to others perfectly clear. At no point did I ever “peak” the mic, save the one time I crammed the mic into my face and screamed into it (which was funny to witness, I assure you). The provided windscreen on the mic tip is effective at eliminating “pop” without muddying up sound. That’s another A for voice intelligibility.

Klipsch has introduced noise cancellation into its headphone range for the first time, with the super stylish Mode M40 cans. And, it has included an in-line microphone and volume controls for iPhone, iPod and iPad users.
The 'phones are made of the same durable material used in high-end eyewear and come with a cloth covered cable, more often seen on home hi-fi gear. The ear cups are made of leather, and the active noise cancellation system employed can run for up to 45 hours on a single battery.
Unlike some other headphones, such as the Beats by Dr Dre Studio, the Mode M40 also work, even when there is no power for the ANC, albeit with no cancellation effect. This is important for those on long flights who have no access to spare batteries.
Each earpiece includes a 40mm woofer with active crossover, while a 15mm tweeter provides clarity for high frequencies. Frequency response, therefore, is 20Hz - 20kHz.
Input impedance (@ 1kHz) is 32ohms, while sensitivity (@ 1mW, 15mm) is 97.5dB. The whole shebang weighs just 356g.
Compatibility for the three-button in-line mic is wide-ranging across iDevices, including iPod nano (from 4th generation), iPod touch (from 2nd generation), iPhone 3GS and 4, and both iPads. Do note that the iPhone 4S is not currently listed as being supported, but we've been reliably informed that it does work. We've tested a few rival microphones on the 4S, and rather than answer calls, they access Siri, so this comes as great news.
The Klipsch Mode M40 headphones are available for £299.99 from www.klipsch.com, Amazon and individual stockists. Check the company's website for more details.

Razer fans that were hoping to get their hands on the new Razer Tiamat 7.1 headset before the holiday season. Are going to be a little disappointed to hear that Razer has now pushed back the launch into January 2012.
The Razer Tiamat 7.1 headset is a unique piece of gaming kit and is equipped with 10 discrete drivers, 5 in each circumaural ear cup to give you true pinpoint positional surround sound.
The 10 drivers represent the 7 surround sound channels plus subwoofer; 2 for center, 1 each for the left and right, surround sound left and right, surround back left and right, and 2 for the subwoofer. All drivers work in unison to produce a true surround sound experience.
“We announced the Razer Tiamat back in August and promised that it would be ready to ship in Q4 this year. Plenty of customers emailed and wrote in through our community channels inquiring if it would be ready by Christmas. The bad news is – it won’t be ready by Christmas. We estimate that the Razer Tiamat will only be available around the end of January 2012.
Rest assured this product is coming out soon, but as we get ready to ship, we are also putting final touches to perfect this headset. We want to be sure that what you get is going to blow your ears away, no holds barred, and unfortunately like all Razer products, it’s ready when it’s ready.
We still apologize for the delay, especially for not making sure this product was ready to sit under Christmas trees everywhere.
But we’d like to make it right:
For all the customers who add their names to the Notify Me list at the minisite /tiamat, we’ll provide you with a coupon code for a FREE Razer T-shirt and Razer flask – worth about US$40 – when the Razer Tiamat is available, AND – we’ll ship it to you for free.”

As earphones competition heats up with individual lines by Dr. Dre, Ludacris, 50 Cent and RZA now in stores, SOHH decided to hit up Munitio headphones marketing director Robert Benjamin to find out how his brand is competing against hip-hop endorsed products.
Unfazed by rap's growing interest in creating and endorsing headphone ventures, Benjamin said Munitio places more focus on the brand's quality rather than securing celebrity co-signs.
"We're going to continue making the best products out there from a design and engineering point of view but also from a stylish angle," Benjamin told SOHH. "People expect a level of authenticity that we're not going to stray from. We've been in talks and have been approached by people that want to come on board and spread the word but we know that by making the best products, that's how people are going to get to you and you're going to have longterm fans. I think a lot of people want to capitalize off their name brands, there's nothing wrong with that, and we love working with anyone out there who wants a really great product and they want to really be proud of it. That's how we approach it. It's competitive for sure, but it's less of a concern than making something that's really great and getting it out there." (SOHH)
A few days ago, 50 Cent's SMS Audio President Brian Nohe gave his take on the rapper's SMS By 50 competing with other rap-endorsed headsets.

Beats By Dr.Dre On-ear Headphones - Pink

Along these lines, Polk Audio has introduced an entire family of earphones for athletes. Polk’s new UltraFit line is led by the $100 UltraFit 3000 in-ear-canal model I tried. Sonically, they’re a huge step up from the $10 buds you get at your local electronics superstore, but they’re also engineered to stay wrapped around your ears no matter how many ounces of sweat you work up.
The wrap-around design is critical to the fit. A couple seconds of cajoling nestles the plastic pieces behind your ears, where they remain secure. They never fell off my ears during the month I wore them to my gym, including consistent running sessions and one rousing hour of full-court layup drills (These are the things I do to try to bring you a well-rounded review).
Music sounds great. The bass throbs and pulsates, and nothing sounds strained, even at the higher volume levels. Polk Audio ships the 3000s with seven pairs of differently-sized tips, which is more options than most in-ears. Finding the correct tip, and thus attaining the proper seal to get the best sound performance, is easy with all those options.
My favorite design detail: color-coded left and right cables. While each side still has the ‘L’ and ‘R’ near the ear bud to delineate which ear it should go in, the differently-colored cables are smart. You know which ear’s which at a glance.
Users have a choice between two cables: a 14-incher and a 41-incher that has its own microphone/remote assembly. This is where being an Apple connoisseur pays off. For everyone else, myself included, not so much. The remote controls and mic are compatible only with the following models: iPod nano (4th generation or later), iPod classic (120/160GB), iPod touch (2nd generation or later), iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4 and iPad 1 and 2. The remote is supported by the iPod shuffle (3rd generation and later) while the audio is supported by all iPod models. The pause/play button also worked with my HTC Incredible phone.

On-ear Headphones

I had one big complaint. I prefer to attach my iPod’s carrying case and belt clip onto the waistband of my shorts. The two cable choices are both awkward — the 14-incher is too short and a 41-incher is too long. The long one gets caught too easily, like around my knee when I bend down to put a dumbbell on the floor. I could alleviate this by using the shorter cable and attaching my iPod to my shirt with the shirt clip that comes with the 3000s, but that’s not comfortable for me. A modest quibble, considering the performance.
WIRED Fantastic sound. Design prevents buds from popping out. Color-coded cables let you tell left from right at a glance. Various ear bud sizes ensures comfortable fit. Carrying case is anti-microbial.
TIRED Microphone/remote works only with Apple products. Length of 14-inch and 41-inch cables are problematic, limiting where you can attach your iPod.
What's most important about those specs, though, is that they translate into the user's listening experience.
The Vibratos come with four sizes of silicone ear fittings to ensure perfect fit and noise reduction. The sound is crisp and clear without sacrificing the bass. If you enjoy listening to music while exercising, the Vibratos also come with comfortable detachable sport earhooks.
If your downfall with past pairs of earbuds has been a poorly reinforced cable, don't worry. The Vibratos have solved that problem with a Kevlar-reinforced cable that holds up to just about anything you throw at it during normal wear and tear.
What's more, the Vibratos are equipped with a hands-free mic with a three-button call/music function. And they come with a chic traveling case, keeping all your accessories in one spot.
Think of the V-Moda Vibratos as an investment -- a solid investment for your music enjoyment that will save you from endlessly replacing $10 earbuds. Do yourself a favor and invest in the best for your ears.
You can find out more about the V-Moda Vibratos, and order yourself a pair, here.

On-ear Headphones

Whether you take your music seriously or simply want to shut out the world when you need some peace and quiet, "noise-cancelling" headphones have become a popular product.
As the category name suggests, "noise-cancelling" headphones are designed to cancel out noise around you -- such as engine roar on an airplane when you're trying to catch some shuteye or a television murmur in another room of your home that's interrupting your classical music enjoyment.
These clever products look like regular headphones that go over or inside your ears, but can greatly reduce environmental noise up to a few metres around you.
Today I received a tweet (@marc_saltzman) from a Moneyville reader who asked me to explain the difference between "active" and "passive" noise-cancelling. It seems this reader was confused about the differences between the two as the weekly flyers from electronics retailers referenced both of them in the headphone section.
Active "noise-cancelling" headphones work by introducing inverse sound waves that negate incoming sounds, therefore dramatically reducing the amount of outside noise experienced by the listener. This is achieved by a tiny microphone that "hears" the noise and a processor that generates a sound wave with the opposite polarity to cancel it out, so to speak. Most of these headphones can block out more than 90 percent of all outside noise.
Active noise-cancellation requires battery power, however. Sometimes a rechargeable battery is included with the headphones, while in other instances you must buy an AA or AAA battery.
Most active headphones are the over-the-ear variety, but there are exceptions (such as this Sony pair worn in the photo).
